Spotlight: Candy Conrad of Lazy J Bar C Farm

I have been so blessed with meeting the nicest people. This lady is certainly one of them, and I would love for you to meet her and visit her blog: Lazy J Bar C Farm. You will enjoy your visit I assure you.
She has agreed to share with us her bread making tips and I for one am glad, because I love bread!

Hi! My name is Candy and I have a little home-based business making and selling baked goods at one of our local Farmer's Markets. Dolly was nice enough to ask me if I would be interested in doing a guest post on her blog so I thought I would share some of the tips I have learned over the years for making yeast breads and rolls. I hope you get a chance to stop by my blog and check it out! Thanks
Dolly!!

Retro: The Day the Atomic Bomb Fell In Our County

I have heard about this my entire life but never really looked into it. Everyone around will tell you about the day the Atomic Bomb fell in the Mars Bluff Area in our county.  People have told of the huge hole that it left on that property. All I know is that we are blessed that nothing more happened on that day March 11, 1958.  I would have been 4 years old at the time.

Dot's Fall Garden

I have been spending some time with my precious Mama "Dot".  She has not been feeling well and I cherish every moment with her. It would mean so much to me if you would please pray for a quick recovery for her.
She as you may know is an avid gardener and in the Spring I shared her beautiful flower gardens. I took a walk the other day and took some marvelous shots. If she were well the leaves would be raked but I find her garden to be beautiful anyway. I offered to rake them but she said to me, "No, leave them for the children they love to rake and fall in them."

Our Visit to the Ovis Hill Farm Festival

Look at those faces!

Every year we go to a sheep farm that is separated from us by a strip of swamp land.  We all like the farm.  It is very beautiful!
